Does having a remap alter your premiums in any way?

never really interested me before but i am looking into it.

You should inform your insurer.

Which will probably mean your insurance will increase.

i am scared to ask havnt had a proper quote on the car plus exhaust yet.

best to bury head and just pay when i have to.

It depends if you can detect it.

A bolt-on tuning box is easy to see, but a stock ECU that has been remapped isn't.

You make your own choices....

Just do a compare of the rom as it will be different if they would go to this extent who knows. After all its just reflashed.

Your increasing the performance so insurance would go up.
