The Caterham has suffered cooling problems IIRC. I think MarkB has posted on the subject in the past. Must be pretty rapid though!

That Elise has a real performance improvement, but that's eye-wateringly expensive!

yeah.. it's way too pricey for me. the guy on that site has done it with his 340R though.. the loon.

i guess if you found an elise with a knackered engine ?? the honda units are a good match i guess as they're still light and the low torque isn't an issue cos the cars are so light.

I really like the idea as a concept - the Honda lump seems more 'Lotus' than a Toyota lump, somehow.

If Honda did a K20-engined 'New Beat' it would be seriously fun!
