Default Rent a Ramp

Wouldn't it be good if you could rent a ramp in a workshop somewhere, to work on your car.

This is what puts me off trying to learn stuff, it is really difficult trying to work on the car on axle stands, lying down on your back on a cold surface

Is there such a thing anywhere? I imagine it would be full of H&S issues, but it would be handy!

Be a man!

The only thing I'd realistically want a ramp for is a clutch/subframe change.

Doing it on your back in the snow makes you feel more of a hardcore enthusiast (or an idiot depending on perspective)

Kiwi has mentioned this though - i'd happily go for it TBH

I don't want to be hardcore, or lie on the snow

Nice idea and I'd love that as well
It would have made my decat, header and O2 install a lot easier
I will need to do a clutch over the winter and a lift/ramp/pit would be sooo much easier than axle stands

Place near me supposedly lets you hire out their ramps by the hour. Never tried it.

(Alison's mother has a pit in her garage)

Try and find a friendly local independent Ian.

I haven't taken him up on the offer yet, but they guy just down the road from me has said I can use his ramps whenever I want.

How much does a 4 point lift cost I wonder?

I guess most would need you to have 3-phase in your garage.
