what do they mean.. programmed..

they just sit in the car and press a few of the light switches in a certain sequence.. takes 60 seconds.

Dealers never charge for a few seconds/minutes. Everything is in 30 minute blocks.

The Alfa key houses the immobiliser whilst the fob is just the remote locking and alarm. Apparently the key has to be plugged into some device or other whilst they tap in some codes. Specialist kit yes, but hardly taxing ...
