Default Rolls Royce Phantom Coupé

I was overtaken by one of these on the A1 yesterday and later passed it on the Newcastle Western Bypass...

The thing was huge and I mean huge. It's height wouldn't be much less than a Range Rover and the two occupants of the car were towering above me in the Prius. It was absolutely hideous and the epitome of excess.

On the RR web site there's a quote about the coupé from Ian Cameron, Chief Designer :

"The whole shape is dynamic. It sits low to the ground and has tight proportions."

I wonder if the LSD employed by Rolls Royce is chemical...

I suppose it is low, compared to the preposterous Phantasm.

RR owners prefer to sit imperiously high & on the corners it Rolls.

As for those stupid A-pillars...

The only way you'd ever get away with it would be to be as screaming gay as aresholes, order a convertible in carnation or primrose.

Otherwise, it has that 'instant bellend' thing of so many modern badgey cars.

S'funny but the couple in the car appeared to be 'fun-size' and my guess from their style, I'd say they were from Yorkshire. This is supported by my observation that the chap driving was wearing a Bluetooth ear piece; he must have decided to save a few quid and not paid for the Bluetooth interface in the car...

What is the original ethos? RR have always been pretty much large luxury cars. This appears to be exactly that.

Not in the way it's produced the individuality available the choice of owner driver or chauffeur , rolls' reputation was forged before the first war for making the best car in the world a title achieved again briefly after ww2 and sadly never again ,

This is an ugly pos that screams no taste

That does seem out of place.

Or else it's one of those totally integrated PoS - which only work on Twatphones & he/it's got a 'Droid.

Car Lo Fi is always about a decade behind the times - even if one specs the one with the silly name on it - sorry, the one BY Gloria Vanderbilt or Kurt Peterbilt or whoever...

excuse me for bucking the trend but I think it looks great!

And they are great to drive. Just beautifully engineered.
