You're asking whether you should get an S2000 or a 350z on an S2000 website?
Just out of interest did you post the same thread on 350z.com?

Is the answer very different?

To be honest they all seemed favourable of the S2000, just the usual like the AP1 is prone to tail spin in in the wet which in dangerous (sensible driving im sure would stop this!), you have to drive it hard to get any performance etc. I didnt really agree with the last statement, it seemed pretty quick in the test drive and i didnt even take it to 9kRPM

They can lure one into a false sense of security and are extremely sensitive to suspension alignment and tyre choice and don't take kindly to people fitting incorrect wheels. There's no electronic nanny...

A set of chassis braces helps make steering and breakaway feel far more tangible, which helps on-limit driving a lot.

To be honest, from what I have gathered as long as you drive them according to the road conditions then you should be fine, i.e. foot to the floor around a corner when its raining is more than likely going to result in the back end getting loose! Just a bit of common sense and respect should be all that you need.

Where are you located? Because honestly I see rather high mileage ap1's in the south go for more than what you listed... Granted they are usually in pretty good condition. And this isn't something I seldom see, it's EVERY ap1 down here. And mid mileage mint ap2's get in the high teens/low 20's. Weird.

Don't forget there are not any AP2's in the UK, they are all AP1's. The newer 2004+ ones are just face lifted.

There was one on sale on this site - a very low mileage 99 year model which was black. Why don't you look at that one instead?

I'm based in Reading, Berkshire. I still think it was over priced from the Honda dealership at 8.5k, yes the mileage was low, but the overall condition was not perfect. Rust on the bottom of the side skirt, the hood has a green like mould on the bottom next to the passenger window (potential leak?).

Also it was not raining when i took it for a test drive and when the roof was retracted, some water dripped onto both seats. IS this normal?

buy this one - it is in mint condition & doesn't need anything doing to it other than to drive it & enjoy it

So Honda called me today so to if I was interested in the car i test drove on Saturday. Link below:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...rs?logcode=hlp

I told them it seemed overpriced so immediately the guy said "oh we have just reduced the price to £8k funnily enough"

So immediate drop from them to 8k. What do you guys think of the car for 8k? Seems a little high still for a 2001?
