Mmmmmm...
Z4M Coupe.

I remember being completely in awe of one at Colerne.
It was pouring with rain and it blew the little S2000 into the weeds

And recently at Combe, the older Z3M on r888 and no interior and a remap.
Left the 335 for dead

they are selling in the 16 to 20K range, its a lot of car for the money, not as light in the steering as the S but the grip level is impresive, i have commited to corners at speeds i would have been aprehensive in the S and come out the apex wishing i had been a little braver going in, it simply goes round no fuss, clutch is not the best it can be quite jumpy in traffic but im told its fixable by removing the delay valve

on the baby seat issue, you will find some with the passenger airbag disable switch but not all, i believe its a retrofit BMW can install.

Z4M Coupe, lovely car, but horrendous running costs. Especially when compared with an S2000. Go research the Insp II service cost...

depends on your milage, you do a service 1 then an oil change then a service 2, i dont put loads on the clock so its two years between service 1 and oil change then 2 more years before service 2
if you shop around main dealers service 1 is £700 and oil £150 service 2 £900 oil £150
thats £1900 for 4 years motoring, £475 year
i bought mine just after service 1 it will be 2 years before i need to have oil then 2 years before service 2 so for me 4 years costs me £1050
I can find service 2 from £750 up to £1100 depending on which BM dealer you go to and even cheaper if you go to an independant specialist

Tyres £250 a pop, M parts are usually double normal parts if anything goes wrong. I ran an E46 M3 and did 20k miles a year for 2 years in it. Great car, but you need your eyes open with regards to running costs before going ahead with it.

Having said all that I would like a Z4M Coupe. But not for commuting.
