That only works if you want to get into modifying and it's a box ticking exercise.

It's no good if you want an M car and all it's trappings.

I suspect that i'll keep it for 2 years at most.

But i think i'll enjoy those 2 years
warranty £900 yr 1,£1000 yr 2 and £1100 yr 3
£1000 on tyres over three years
4 x warranty claims excesses at £250 each
one set of discs and pads and annual pad replacement over the three years £1000
£1500 to cover one oil, one insp 1 and one insp 2
2 x MOT at £55 each
one x clutch £1000
£1000 on wear and tear items not covered by the warranty or services over three years (see Graham's post)

total approx £9600

it could be -£2000 or +3000, but that's the basis for my figures

no argument from me that it will be enjoyable - I like them a lot

I've been running a non-//M Z4 Coupe for almost two years now and would recommend it - the 3.0si straight six is a great engine and gives decent mpg for it's performance.

Worth a look if cash is a consideration over the //M version.

I don't think I could see Rich in a non-M somehow.

I want the M version.

I want a performance upgrade over the S if i'm going for a similar type car and the non M version doesn't give me anything more performance wise.

Hardest part at the moment seems to be finding one with the airbag disable switch fitted and Isofix as it was only an option when the car was new.

It can be retrofitted at a cost of £750 but for some reason BMW only list the kit for the M roadster and not the Coupe so the dealer is non-committal about whether it will actually work.

I put a deposit on a 57 plate Z4M coupe this evening.

I collect it on friday.

All the options i wanted including the airbag switch that happened to pop up on autotrader almost immediately after i posted how hard it was finding one with that switch and only 40 miles away from me.

I have never seen a 2nd hand car that looked this immaculate.

Whoop Whoop!

Nice one. Spec, colour etc.?

I still haven't got mine on track, I was booked up for Donington in December but it got snowed off.

I've got credit for a track day and insurance to go with it but I'm waiting for the right one.

I can't see it costing less than £1k in one of these lardmobiles.

i have just booked a slot with the BMW sponsered track day novice event at Bedford its Monday 12th April late afternoon to early evening
£45 all in, you are not supposed to have done more than three track days to sign up, not sure how they govern that rule
