RS4 for me thanks....

Also recent (and very common) feedback on the failure rates of newer Audis would ensure I gave the later one a wide berth.

I would go for the newer, lower mileage car every time - with cars of this kind anyway.

RS2 Avant was for years the quickest car in the world 0-30mph, Mikey; I think that's what you're referring to with the performance stats. RS2s are lovely, but rare and getting on now...

RS4 twin-turbo is great... but having driven the S4 V8 and the RS4 414bhp V8, I think I'd go for the more modern Audis. The RS4 twin-turbo has really bad steering and an appallingly harsh ride. The later A4s are a bit better to drive, and you're talking about the difference between 344bhp and 380bhp, which ain't a lot...

Both cars are very good, though!

RS4 everytime... not a big fan of the S4, but I do also love the new RS4.

The old RS4 looks amazing still from the outside, best in Red IMO. Bit dated inside, but still the ultimate Q car.

Easily tunable and I have known a few people get them to 450+bhp with ease.

Also think Layer Cake...

I would advise checking with Audi re. the running costs, and also see if they still replace the 'bendy' wheels.

Cheers

Rumours persist that they will finally work out how to get the drive to the front diff in front of the clutch in the new model.

The engine will thus be in a sensible place. The coupe prototype acutally looks quite elegant, instead of dumpy.

The front suspension may then be softened to an acceptable degree.

what, if you want to imagine a bunch of twats who woudn't last five minutes as drug dealers?

seriously, the old RS is usually very pricey and comes with high mileage

it's expensive to maintain and claims of classic status are as usual, just dreams

what's an Integrale worth now

or a ur-quattro

they might be on ebay for

Also found an S6 Avant - 4.2 V8 - really quite rare, only on a tiptronic but I dont mind that too much -0 cheaper too!

either tune the RS4 or get the S6 - a very nice understated car
