The big three killed my baby.

Well, Government Motors did.

Like the Rover fiasco, I'm relieved they've been put out of their misery at last.

while it is a shame for the job losses, the newer stuff was all vauxhall underpinnings anyway.

how many cars do we need that are all the same?

PSA is an example with the 107 shape - citreon (c1), peugeot (107), and toyota (aygo) all use the same parts.

Well I liked the 99 with the chocolate aeriel.

And the 900

And the 9000 was really good.

Then Scania sold it to General Ignorance and the rest is history.

But there was NFW that GM was gonna let the Chinese get their hands on the technology (they already have JV to make the Opel Old Spice/ Buick Handyshandy in China) so they kyboshed the sale to whomever it was so they didn't get the 9^5 version.

They had some fairly questionable backers, too. So if a kerching story blows up, I'd be unsurprised.

Not that I've seen many of you rushing out to BUY a 9^5. Or an MG6 - has anyone EVER seen one of those?

I'd be sadder if the company actually had some good product that someone wanted, but no.

It'd just got protracted & painful.
