Do download the garmin updating software from www.garmin.com as it makes life a lot easier.
Also, make sure you calibrate the screen on first use (see the instructions) as that really makes it work much better.

We have a Garmin, always seems to work well both here and in Europe.
Don't know what model, it was bought for us but it was quite expensive I believe. Lane guidance is good to have, as is Bluetooth for the phone.
Whenever anyone gets lost and ends up at our gate wondering why their sat nav tells them they're on a public road when they've just driven a quarter mile down a farm track, they're using a TomTom.

The Snooper has 'high risk zones' of lasers, etc and does flash up the posted speed limit near fixed cameras. It oughtn't BE necessary, but with sudden underhand reductions in speed limits on many roads, it's useful info.
My Snooper has bluetooth (for obvious reasons).
So if I wanna look like an utter twat too, I can use it as a telephone.
