Default Schumacher to return to Ferrari

So apparently he will replace Massa, according to a Ferrari spokesman. Story not yet confirmed though ...

I can't wait to see Schumacher in the F60. The tension between him and Raikkonen is going to be awesome.

If Raikkonen is going at the end of the year I don't expect him to give Schumacher an inch! Plus you can see all the other current top drivers wanting to claim Schumacher's scalp - Hamilton, Alonso etc

Great for Ferrari from a testing perspective as well - they can run Schumachers car as a test chassis and with Schumi on board develop the 2010/11 car quicker than the rest of the field.

Can't see there's a lot in it for Schumacher

Unbelievable - just what F1 needed.

Form is temporary, class is permanent, and he's a class act. He may be rusty, but I'm sure he'll put a sizeable cat amongst the pigeons Just what F1 needs.

I think it's great that he's back, love him or loathe him, he's a very good driver, and it'll be interesting to see how he performs, both in the ferrari and against the other cars.

I've got visions of him winning the race, getting out the car nonchalantly and saying to Raikkonen, "sorry Kimi, nothing wrong with the car mate".

I think he can't lose with this, he's been out of action, recovering from an accident, a bit older etc. so if he doesn't do well then he's got fair reason. However, if he wins, everyone would have to accept he's a class above anyone else in F1.

Now if only we could get Hakkinen in to replace Kovalainen for a race and then Michael and Mika can really show upstarts like Lewis who really are the kings of F1

According to our Italian friends it is true.

One of the guys on the Italian forum has some inside info. Normally you may scoff, but this guy is Italian karting champion and number 2 in Europe so I guess he has some connections.
