Default selling a beater

I chucked the vec on fleabay.. its a 2k ish car

Guy 1 - will pop over in 1hr. Doesnt show.
Guy 2 - can barely speak, baby venting in background, asks nothing about car, keeps saying 'bess pwice'.
Guy 3 - sends txt ' what is bess pwice'

Should i send it to auction? Anyone done that here

I once sold a car on ebay and set a 'buy now or best offer' price 30% higher than I would have expected for it.

Someone bought it at the full price.

yeah that best offer thing is useful
you can play with the offerers a bit
as they can see there are other offers
(but not the amount) plus you can communicate and haggle with them

I dont want to communicate with them. I'm neh ponce but the 3 dicks i've spoken to so far are drivin me nuts.

I havent sold a car in years, maybe i should keep it?

Future BIL had just as many issues selling his Evo. Lot of time wasters and one in particular who kept ringing up and offering a stupidly low price - he just wouldn't give up!

I sell cars / vans through auction at work and always get above the reserve. Some very good prices at the moment also.

Only 4 chicken?

I've had similar experiences with selling my 3 series, took ages and so many time wasters so maybe its not just the type/price/age of car that you are selling as it appears to be the used car market in general.
