Also sold a lot of cheap cars on ebay. Some good, some been a nightmare (Smart Roadster).

Mostly I've ended up selling off ebay to someone who's come to view the car before the auction's ended.

Had some mental buyers too - 3 Vietnamese lads spent £250 getting the train up from London to buy an £800 Honda Accord Coupe. And the Smart Roadster guy deserves a full page post to himself. Fecking idiot.

This is why I just traded the Merc in. Yes, I probably lost £500 on the price, but I didn't have to put up with all your hassle and I also didn't have to look a private buyer in the eye when he'd failed to spot the cabin leak ...

Well the best offer i had wasnt massively short of what i'd have let it go for but i had no confidence that would come to anything as it was out of the blue.

In the meantime i renewed my current contract until the new year so will use it over xmas on the salty roads then think again in the new year (will hit the 24 month rule then).

Moral of the story:
-Never put your number on an ad.
-Theres not much of a banger market these days
-Ebay is full of tools
