Oh, stringing it out between NIP & final sentence is how they keep YOU strung out and it's part of the repression process.

For those of us used to public hearings, blah, blah, it doesn't work - in fact it merely increases level of contempt for the patheticness of it all. I can understand how the serial offenders come to regard it as a mere occupational hazard.

However, if you're 18, I can imagine it's quite nerve-wracking.

And they wring their hands over why more & more people are dismissive of the legal system, where genuine cases are too expensive to pursue or too difficult to prove beyond reasonable doubt ?

Dangerious driving on their part, one day somone will catch them on camera. If it wasn't potentialy dangerious to myself I'd be tempted to give the brakes a sharp tap, then see how they explain it the the police complaints officers, they would certainly have their pursuit privilidges instantly suspended.

As for stringing out NIP to final, thats more to do with the courts dealing with more serious offences and not having resources to see out the job quickly, belive it or not.
Bit like waiting for an operation on the NHS.

Some police forces are notorious for it, Rich.

One was hanging round in my blind spot, so I continued up to the 50 limit at 70 and braked at the last moment; plod went shooting into the 50 at over the limit and had to anchor up sharp, much to my amusement. He was not amused.

When you see the court lists for speeding, one sometimes wonders if a lot of it isn't a self-inflicted bottleneck? I know there's a LOT of the serious stuff too, but they ought to prioritise better - ie, straight to court where necessary & not all this "oh, we offered you a 3-points automatic & now you've 'fessed up by post, we've changed our minds & wanna go to court" BS.

On no, that'd probably cut jobs for pretend cops...

If the Police caught you doing that you'd be the one prosecuted for dangerous driving.

Nice !, the dick even stopped in the central reservation ! There are some people that should have been put down at birth......

Pity that he didn't swerve over into the inner lane I am sure the trucker would have squashed him good style !
