Hi Guys,


I have arrived into work today and some how found myself talking aboutt he S2. Well one of the Porsche drivers kept on saying how S2's were not all that, and then the M5 driver on the desk decided to pie up and join him! Nice!!!

Along the conversation they stated such things such as the following cars would easily beat an S2000!

Astra VXR
Fiesta ST
Peugeot 307/407 CC
Focus RS ???? "This one I was really not sure about"
BMW 3 series

The list was longer, but these were the ones that I wasn't too sure about. Can anyone confirm if they think these are faster!!! I hope not!

Who gives a feck?

You'll be having more fun in the S than any of those cars, and probably more fun than the Porsche driver if he's just got a Boxster (and if it's a standard 2.5/2.7 Boxster it's slower than the S2000 anyway )

 

MIRA tested the S2000 0-60 at 5.5s IIRC.

I think they may be trying to wind you up.

 

They'd "beat" the S based on what information ?

"Beat" how - around a track, straight line, etc ?

(I'd not want any of the cars in the list unless the beemer was an M convertible )

 

As said above- does it matter? the S is a much nicer car than those listed and i would also only want an M drop top from the list!

i suggest you smack em both in the eye and then say 'that doesnt happen to me cos i dont drive a waankers car'

 

Let them think that then go for a drive at lunchtime and see who's laughing come afternoon tea

Take them out for a gentle ride in yours & scare the $hit out of them

 

Just remind them that some of us don't need all those driver aids to keep a car on the road...
