Default SGS Engineering - AVOID

Just wanted to warn anyone thinking of using them. They're after sales are hurrendous. Refusing to refund what is owed after saying they would. Tried giving me 3 amounts of which are lesser than that due. Now going through eBay to resolve (glad I went through eBay not direct is all I can say.)

On top of this, sent the order (1 item) in 3 boxes which I had to wait in 3 different days for, no biggie on its own. Then when 2 boxes and items damaged was a nightmare to arrange a replacement. Sent a courier to collect the boxes, courier said they can only pick up one, so didn't allow collection. Was told after calling SGS they made a mistake and had to wait in another day for them to send out 2 return label courier collevtion.

So in total 5 days waiting in for the incompetence.

Eventually gave up on a replacement and asked for refund. Quoted one amount, given almost half, then gave me slightly more but refusing to honour the amount quoted.

Strange... might just be an unfortunate one-off, as I know plenty of local guys to me who use them with great success and experience.

Not sure how you can be a "disgraceful buyer" (assuming that eBay feedback relates to the OP).

I nearly purchased a trolley jack from them, right up until the moment they lump on a load of VAT. Their old website was not clear about this, looks like they might have slightly improved it.

Trolley Jack and axle stands. Axle stands arrived like they'd been dragged across the floor and thrown around. But that was due to the courier (as all the issues apparently). Even bough the packaging around the outside looked in tact jut the box crushed by their ties and the inside with no protection/card etc!?

Was told I'd be refunded the £54 for them. When they got them they gave me only £34. After various emails they said it was an error and would only be £40 now.

They're literally so rude as well, and avoid any actual answer other than the correct refund has been paid.

Indeed, make me laugh as they where paid as soon as ordered. I put up with their poor service and just want that was promised to me. And to say I'm extorting £54 when the actual difference is £14 is a joke.

There are plenty of alternatives offering the same which I wish I'd used now just read a couple had used their jacks and pleased with them.

I can't completely understand what you have written above. I suggest typing, pausing for a little while, then reading (or getting another to read for you) and then posting. I assume from the title of the thread that you are unhappy with SGS

To add balance to this discussion, I have purchased from SGS and they have been absolutely fine. They demonstrated good customer service on the one occasion I needed to employ its services. Infact, they replaced the toolbox which was dented via next day delivery and never came to collect the dented one. Two for the price of one
