Default Should Vettel be stripped of his World championship for illegal pass under yellow flag

Based on the footage should Vettel be stripped of the 2012 world F1 drivers championship for infringing the yellow flag rule by overtaking under the yellows?

Bit late now, it should have been done at the time.

If he'd been given a drive through and still won the championship...........

Did the marshals observer report this incident, did the driver being overtaken protest? If not , why not? Maybe because the "offence" was coming out of a yellow zone which is somewhat different to entering the zone.
You should at once place your evidence in front of the FIA.They can then award the title to Alonso because as you know his team play it strictly by the book and never, ever, twist the rules.

Vettel won the title, get over it.
Alonso drove a great season in a crap car and deserves his second place.

Your poll options reveal a certain bias.

I just love armchair experts who have never raced.

The green zone starts after the yellow zone, Vettel got greedy and these guys are cunning/sly on track, will do what they can to jump places. Thing is, in the past all that cunning and slipping through unnoticed in yellow flags created world champs, if you know what I mean. The naughtiness of Schuey over the years, forever pushing the rules/boundaries still made him champion over and over again. Teams cheat rules, so do drivers. It's an effort for Bernie to keep it together. It's not uncommon for penalties like this to be unearthed after the race, as they just cannot sense every yellow flag sector before the chequered flag.
Whether or not Vettrel had had his punishment (20sec) during the race is, I'm afraid, his own misgiving and yes, he may have still have made it through the field and pushed harder to get his goal on points. Webber at some point was assisting him... But.....the expert knowledge though of the Red Bull team, the sharp eye of Horner and Newey knowing exactly what was going on at any one time, one if them will likely have spotted this way before the nerd on YouTube did, and probably during the race. A hidden gamble from Red Bull perhaps if it was so, hoping it'll get unnoticed?
Agree it will be a shame if the rules are observed and Seb punished. A very harsh lesson for any driver, Seb is still very young and will learn by this, whatever the decision.

Eaaaaassy now! I'm with you on this. Vettel should retain his title as should Lance. Too much water under the bridge and all that.

And remember kids "winners do take drugs"

There's something at 0:10 which could be a flag, but it's hard to tell on the BBC's low quality video (and the YouTube videos are being removed faster than they're appearing). But you can clearly see the yellow lights on Vettel's dash.
