Default Smart Roadster Coup

Due to popular demand (Ok, MB asked me), here's what's going on with the Smart Roadster so far.

History

Bought the Smart in March 2008 after my S 'bought' it on a cowsh*t and straw-covered B road on a damp and dark February evening, well within the speed limit. No, I'll not post it here.

Interesting write up, I must say, I have considered owning one of these in the past. With the right mods it seems as though it can be transformed into something quite rapid. Be good to see some pics too..

Nice little write-up but we want pics!! Also, I wouldn't waste money on the standard Roadsters when you can get a Brabus and put the money into that - although they cost a bit more to begin with!!

I'll update with some pics, although TBH there's not much to see! And at the moment, the car's very dirty, with a big ding up the driver's door where some muppet drove into my parked car then didn't leave their details. Only the 2nd time it's happened in 2008; first time, it cost

Another interesting point I've just remembered: when it went on the CofG thingamajig, we didn't need to adjust the wheelbase from Chris's previous client's car: an S2000...

You've mentioned those before BassO.
However, I get plenty enough slidey fun with it at the moment, thanks!
Especially with the slow pressure leak I have in the left rear being replaced on Wednesday.

Great write-up.

Glad to know they are as badly-built POS as the X-1/9s I used to have, and just as much fun! My roof once tried to blow off flat out on the m-way, and I ended up hanging onto it!

Does the Brabus remap not improve the gearchange on those things too, or is it purely a mechanical thing?

Oooooh, a proper big write up

All sounds like good news apart from the gearchanges on track.

I'm impressed with how many available tweaks there are for the car too!

Will it be going to the Ring??
