Smashed up the backside
Hi All
Picture the scene - long clear open road on Sunday morning 8am, visibility 100%, dry, slightly damp surface to road - doing about 40 and I had to brake for a flock of pigeons(no other choice other than run them all down or swerve) brakes hard, no abs though
next thing I know - BANG - the car behind me isnt paying attention and shes gone into the back of me - small peugeot, almost certainly a write off - My car - well Im not sure but it was a heavy impact I suspect it could be game over
only had the thing 6 months. Boot well buckled in, rear bumper, parking sensors, boot floor, rear panels(these are huge), exhaust fell off and a selection of things under the car look damaged, let alone paint, labour, interior boot bits........

Oh dear Andy, gutted for you.
Tailgating seems to be getting more common these days along with a general reduction in driving standards.

sorry to hear. not good. must be gutted
but i must admit i would not personally brake for a flock to pigeons
and having had some one once brake very hard infront of me because there was a rabbit (unsighted by me) in the road its amazing how quickly you come up on them, even if you are a good distance away.
