my experience tell me that you should advise the insurance company that you only had the one key and have had to get another one cut/coded
Why's that, just being nosey.
the car (Roadkill's) will not have been supplied new with just one key

at least one is therefore outside Roadkill's ownership

this is a risk to the insurance company that they need to know about

We (the dealer and I) are still trying to get the other key. It was possibly the guy's ex-wife's who kept it for some reason. They live(d) 300 miles away. I have, however, been able to get the Cobra Navtrack Cards re-coded and signed up to a new "5-star" agreement. Even if the car were stolen with a duplicate key, it wouldn't get far. Besides, I have the previous owner's address and a remote for his garage door. He's got a Bentley Turbo now

Quick Update.

400 miles done. All okay, just a few minor glitches. Somewhere, last Sunday, I must've hit something with my front left wheel. Lost a bit of paint, but it's fixable without a full re-coat. Looks a bit sorry though. Had a slow puncture on a rear tyre. Bought a digital tyre pump only to find later that there was a brand new Ferrari one in the boot! D'oh! Anyway, turned out to be a nail in the tyre in a very good place for a repair. Yeah, I know....you shouldn't. But the rears are looking like they will last only a couple of months or so. I will replace them in the summer. Tyre repair £16.00.

Took an hour to replace the 6w sidelamp bulb as it blew last week. £3.20.

We're off to take the Ferrari and the Diablo 6.0 VT for a spin on Saturday. In the meantime, I've renewed the tracking system and the car is now covered by a "5-star package". Also still waiting for the custom car cover to arrive and I've still got to get a replacement key cut in Edinburgh.

Love taking the car shopping and have found that the cops usually have a patrol car at Asda as it's adjacent to the M8. Handy to park next to. Both Carter (my son) and myself have found the initial excitement has eased but it's quickly reinstated when the hood goes down and we're off for a drive...anywhere, for any reason.

At another supermarket .

And that big, wide rear end

How did the paint come off, did the wheel hit the arch or did the paint just decide it no longer wanted to be stuck to the car anymore!?

Its still stunning, they do look good in black, bit more understated. I bet the exhaust sounds amazing with the top down!

Don't know what happened with the wheel. Looks kerbed, but it's too high on the spoke. Quite a big piece of paint came off though. Apparently it has been repaired/resprayed before so it may be the result of a poor job previously. Then again, it could have been me.

Surely not!? Must have been a bad paint job previously!

I will agree, on the grounds that I don't want my reputation tarnished.

Isn't that a non-standard wheel colour though? Obviously painted then I mean.

Though I must admit I haven't had the need to consult a Ferrari F430 options list.

You see a lot of 430s with that antricite colour, so i'm fairly sure it's an option.
