Suits you Sir?

Somebody told me the other day that red cars are more likely to get rear-ended because the brake lights don't show up as much owing to lack of contrast.

Off topic, but I'm getting really annoyed with the new Golfs. The indicator is the bullseye within a circular brake light and as most of the to$$ers near me that drive them seem to prefer braking and then signalling, it's a real struggle to spot the indicator flash amonst a blaze of red LEDs ...

!!!Him indoors nearly rear-ended one the other day cos it's so hard to see them indicating
I'm very fussy about car colours, the new motor's black, S MCB, two before that silver, before that a paler metallic blue Prelude....
Have never gone for the more larey (sp?) colours but always thining about re-sale values.
I'm half Glaswegian so when it comes to matching skin tone, I gues that blue really is the ideal colour for me!

Colour doesn't matter too much to me, as long as it's not something really horrid. When I bought the S the colour was not something I dwelled on. I originally thought I might like a black one, but didn't think twice about buying red once I'd test-driven it. If I'd test-driven an MCB and liked the way it drove, I'd have bought that colour instead.
It's "lairy", Kay.
I am indeed MQ but the 'lady' in question is conspicuous by her absence so far this week
A little earlier this evening I thought that she had a replacement standing in at the bar but it turned out to be the hotel lobby pianist!
I tend to be quite conservative with car colours with most of our recent cars being black.
I was window shopping a few months back and saw a yellow M3 and a stunning white Targa 4s both with black wheels, both looked fantastic but dont think I would have the balls to buy. Perhaps if I were keeping for say 5 years plus I may be a bit bolder with colour choice.

There's a lot of colours that would put me off looking at a car.
I think there's a lot to be said for bright fun coloured cars but I think when people spend over a certain amount they feel the need to be sensible about it and get a sensible colour. . . and then when that budget goes up somewhat more inot the realm of serious sportscars they get silly again.
But, if a certain colour makes the girls look pretty then I'm all for it.

My Integrale was Racing Rosso (red).
My S2000s were black with a red interior, then red with a black interior.
The Exige looked fantastic in red and black, and the Evora I nearly bought would have also been red and black.
Sports cars have to be red I think. Fiery passion and speed.
Although, having said that, I keep eyeing up MK1 MX5s as a summer Dales tourer and if I do go for one, it has to be British Racing Green with Tan interior, they look so right in that colour.
Other cars, well I seldom worry to be honest. Kate's Land Rover had to be blue (it was my wedding present to her, and was her 'something blue') but other than the above and a black company Audi S3, I've never actively chosen car colours.
