Suits you Sir?
I'm not so sure about the notion that all major sports cars need to be Red. I remember going to the TVR factory, and thought that their cars looked rubbish in red.
I remember seeing a Yellow Cerbera, with black leather interior and thought that was definately THE colour for the Cerbera. Not sure how a yellow Griffith or Tuscan would look tho!
I also remember seeing a black Ferrari 355 in Dublin once, and felt that it looked better than the Red 355??! Scuderia looks better in black, too (IMO) from when I saw one in Oxford Street (had a yellow stripe on too, which looked ace).
Weird, isn't it how certain colours match certain cars? I personally don't think the S looks really good in Red (sorry Gritty!
), but it definitely suits blue (especially Nurby blue
) as the best colour.

I picked Silverstone as there were not many choices back in the day. I think you could get black which i didnt think suited the car plus didnt want to clean it every day (i do like my cars to look clean). Didn't like nurby as that is a very feminine colour imo (and it's all about opinions here
).
Dan's red S2000 looked very nice in the flesh. I don't like pensioner blue, again dont think it's suits the car. Yellow is fine on the later models but i'm not a 'look at me' type of guy so no... White i like but see the comment about cleaning. That lime green makes me wanna chuck.
that was my thought process in a nutshell.
I'd buy a black exige though, or one of those limited ed S2s (GT100). For me i need to like the colour primarily, then the colour needs to suit the car and probably lastly be practical but that could be overridden by the former points.
If the missus bought a Mito or a Mini i could never drive it, just like she probably wont drive the TVR i'll buy eventually
(she's not a petrolhead like you lot)

When I bought my first Elan I chose Pacific Blue because I liked the colour. When I changed it was specifically because I wanted a Norfolk Mustard one. The colour was different and novel, sort of the shock of the new.
Yellow cars are meant to be the least likely to be involved in accidents because of their high visibility. (There are exceptions as poor Suzybee has recently found out,
that Belgian lorry driver must have been blind.)
If I were to interest myself in a Ferrari it would be a 355 Spyder in yellow. Parked next to an F430 in silver at the pool the other day. It looked wrong to me.
I think dark men look particularly good in yellow cars. Kunamitsu used to convoy with me to the Ricky run in his yellow and he is black. The purple one he replaced it with didn’t suit him half as much. I’ve met plastic at Rockingham and the Rutland run and his dark hair and oriental features look very cool paired with his yellow.
I’ve discussed with Penelope P about her choice of red. She has beautiful auburn hair lovely delicate fair skin, women with those attributes are generally advised to avoid red clothing. She said that she loves red and chose her red S almost as an act of rebellion.
I do get fun out of colour-coordinating myself with my MCB.

Somebody told me the other day that red cars are more likely to get rear-ended because the brake lights don't show up as much owing to lack of contrast.
I like the DS3, shows Citroen going back to their heritage of style.
I can't wait to see what a pig's ear Citroen make of apeing the MINI experience
The best bit will be 'configuring your DS3'
The mind boggles at what will have turned up when you arrive to collect it
Looks good enough - sadly so do most Alfas

Black cars are my favourite. 90% of the cars I've owned have been black. Having said that, I'm getting a little bored of it and may just choose an acutal colour for my next car.
Regarding whether it matches your colouring - I wouldn't say I go that far. But I do often feel uneasy when I wear pink, as it clashes with my red interior! Very girly, I know.
