Default Summer Driving Day

The past couple of weeks have been pretty stressful for us, so this was the first chance we had to get away from it all and enjoy our favourite pastime; driving some of the great roads the north of England has to offer, and taking in the beautiful summer scenery of Lancashire, Cumbria, Durham, and the Yorkshire Dales.

Thought I'd share with you.

Enjoy..........

Great pics.

I love the A686, the Mrs and I drove it last weekend.

Nice pics Dave - cheered me up as I am stuck in the office all weekend

How do you manage to find roads so quiet though, or does your "I've just been to Mexico" bumper sticker really work?

Great pics as always Dave - how do you manage to find so many deserted roads?

Glad you're enjoying.

Finding quiet roads is a matter of - local knowledge and experience, common sense, and a bit of good luck.

Here's some more pics

Loving the pics Dave: looking at and enjoying them made me feel like I've had a lightning-fast mini ride out myself! Superb countryside.
