It certainly is, but it's the only fuel for miles And actually I get noticeably more miles per tank Still a complete rip off.

So why not fill up closer to where you work, where there may be more choice, and prices therefore lower....?

Or office sometimes, which is about 9 miles away, and the only petrol station near there is a Shell (a couple of ppl cheaper, but less miles per tank). Or customer site but that's obviously a different place every meeting and with the frequency I fill up, it's not worth the risk waiting to try to find a cheaper on e

citibank are offering a Shell Mastercard, you get 6% off your fuel purchases for the first 60 days, 3% thereafter for life (or until they change the terms). Save you just over 6p a litre, and just over 3p thereafter.

There was a report on TV last week saying oil prices are actually around double what they were when we had all the fuel protests back in 2000. But oil is priced per dollar so the strong pound against the dollar has helped keep our prices relatively low. If it wasn't for that, and the pound was still around $1.60 instead of $2, we'd be paying more like
