You can see the lovely alloy suspension through them (better looking than Honda's barbeque set castings!)
Presumably a nice reduction in unsprung mass too, all helping to make the Boxster's suspension better than stock S2000.

As far as I am concerned the definitive Porsche is the 911 in all it's guises.........

For me if I am realstic, I'll maybe have one chance at spending in excess of

I should also have mentioned..... as far as I can tell the 18" wheels are lighter than the 19"s..... but Porsche don't tell you how much they weigh.

I'd like all performance car manufacturers to list the weight impact of their options like they do with the M3 CSL

I assumed that Porsche would have specced light alloys but its interesting to note that the 17" Boxster alloys on the original Boxster were cast alloys and weigh (according to wheelweights.net) 20.3 and 22.7 lbs, front and back respectively. That's pretty heavy.

Interesting that no-one bothered to make alloy replacements for AP1.

I think they do for Civics et al.

It raises an interesting question of affordability:

S2000

Nick, do you know what the Spoon wishbones are made from? They're damn expensive if its iron (but it would not surprise me if they were!)
