Teg lives to fight another year
After a dodgy start to the year with my Teg (wheel bearing, dampers, oil leak etc) it's been running ok for the past few months.
As the S2000 will be off the road as soon as the road-salt arrives, I thought I'd better get the Teg MOT'd a month early to see if I was going to keep it another year.
Passed with no advisories
So I have 13 months MOT now
Now to get the sump gasket (and maybe the sump replaced) and big service

I think Chrisr111 has me pipped!
Can't decide whether to change the sump or not, it's seen a rock at some point in it's life, and the gasket is leaking. Gasket alone is £40 from Honda. Plus 2-3 hours to change. I guess I could probably find a sump from a breaker for another £50.

Personally I'd go with a good breakers and get a 2nd hand one fitted, but I've never changed a sump before.
It's for the Teg
You need to split the cat and manifold to get in to remove the sump. It's a 1-2 hour job depending on how corroded the exhaust bolts are.
I think I'm going to get the lot changed. I need to get in to do the gasket anyway and it's only an extra £50 on top of the rest of the job.

Congrats. Dunno why though; it's quite new for an old Honda and they seem to have the longevity of a Bristol or something.
It's just a tin sump like the Civic, isn't it? If it's only dented, not an issue. If it's distorted the flange (hence the leaky gasket) might as well get it done.

That's the question. I don't know if the rock is the reason the gasket is leaking.
They seem to change hands for around £40 on ITR-DC2.com, so probably worth doing if I can find one.

I'm pleased your ITR is still going strong, they're great cars.
