Test Drove the Z4
Hi Guys,
I thought I would test drive the Z4 before continuing with my search of the perfect S2000. Well I got to the garage and found the 2.0 and the 3.0 options. They asked which I would like to test, so I told them straight that the purpose of this test drive was to compare to the S2000 and if good enough would take my mind off the Honda.
Well as soon as I said "S2000" the dealer laughed quietly and said you may aswell stick with the Honda,its a better car! He then continued by telling me that their was no point test driving the 2.0 Z4 as its 8.4seconds 0-60! I couldn't believe it. So we continued onto the 3.0.
The drive was nice, its a luxurious car, and has all the little bits of technology you would expect and that would impress you and keep you occupied! But something wasn't there.....He tried to impress me with the car with the way he drove, but it just didn't work, the Honda test drive really felt great and frankly the Z4 didn't even make me smile.
The whole experience didn't get better until we pressed the little sports button on the dash, but even then it was dissapointing.
I have certainly made my mind up in this argument!!!

Yeh thats what the guy told me, but the price is too high to be able to compare to an S.
Very nice, but everyone I am speaking to about the Z4M are saying that its a bit hard to control.....so you can expect a few of them wrapped around a tree near you

Just from a styling point of view (as I've never driven the Z4) I think the S looks so much better.
The S looks more pointed and even standing still it looks like a fast car. The rounded front nose on the Z4 makes it look like a "soft" sports car. I've never been keen on that grille BMW insist on putting on their cars, and that "saggy" look along the doors make it look like a fat person has sat in the car.
