It will probably be OK but, I would inform the local plod. If anything was to happen, at least you have forewarned them. Maybe also pull a fuse somewhere to further disable the car. Make sure you keep the keys hidden in the house and definitely not on a table by the front door.

Sounds more like the photos were being taken as part of some kind of scam. No need to take detailed photos if they wanted to steal it, they'd have just noted where the car was at certain times of the day.
If you like your welcome to leave the car round mine for safe keeping. I'll need a set of keys in case I need to move it
