PROBABLY a scam in the making. Report to the police ASAP, in case the car gets cloned.
However:-
1) Block it in at night if possible.
2) If not a regular driver, find a novel (and ideally VISIBLE...don't want them breaking windows and steering racks for no good reason...) way of immobilising the car...
3) Invest in some security lights out the front maybe?!? And I don't know about you but I always forget to put the golf clubs away when I get home...they're forever sitting by the front door!

Some security guard dude in a carpark thought the car looked suss as there was a cable hanging down from the car. So, of course, he tried a door handle to see if the car was locked, and he got a good shock alright.
Apparently the guy had fitted wiring at the back of each door handle, and the cable hanging down was his earth.
I'm sure it went to court.

It's a good story anyway.
