Worst nightmare. Surely the car was fitted with a tracker given the amount of money he spent on it.

I would of hoped buying a tracker would of ranked above some of the additions below, otherwise I'm losing a bit of sympathy for him

yeah, I'd have thought the insurance company would have insisted on it.......

interesting list of mods - wonder what the premium was

and I hope they've all been declared, or he wiill be in deep, deep trouble

Ahhh... I see Youtube tells you how to steal an Evo
How ironic.

Its pretty tricky though, you need a physical key that works ideally or you'll have to smash the steering barrel off.
And an ecu that is already matched to the 'new' key.

Swap ECU insert key and drive away.
Trouble is this was a VERY heavily modified car.
What are the chances of getting a second ECU mapped close enough to allow it to drive?

I think given the requirements for a cut key, and a mapped ECU, I would be looking at the tuning or maintenance shop staff first.

You cant trust anyone...
