Tip needed for removing seized screws
I'm planning on removing my front bumper but inevitably the screws which hold the reinforcement bar in place have seized solid despite several squirts of WD40. The cross head slots are starting to round off with the force from the screwdriver.
Any tips on removing them? I'd rather not drill them out...

Either saw a slot and use a straight head (if there's room, you can clamp a screwdriver bit into the bolt and turn it with a ratchet or spanner), or grab and turn with mole grips. Other than that, saw the head off or drill it out.
I ended up chopping the outer circle into a rectangle with a junior hacksaw and getting adjustable spanners on the two flats. I'd tried an impact driver before this and that still didn't do the trick. Plusgas is loads better than WD40 for seized things too.
I ended up replacing the bolts with some countersunk hex + anodised washers to avoid this in the future

I have exactly the same issue. Trying to free 3 seized bolts to replace the bonnet sealing strip.
Thanks for the tips. Will give it a go.
Anyone know the part number for the screws or can suggest a suitable alternative ?

Andy , as I recall the threads on the bonnet sealing strip are M6 , pop down your local fastener supplier , M6 stainless bolts, screws or what takes your fancy and some stainless mudguard washers , usually for a few pence cash .
The ones underneath on the bumper you want M6 funnel , chimney or what ever they are might be called in a particular supplier and again the same stainless screws, bolts, what ever and washers , oh use shake proof washers to.
Getting the old ones out , mine hadn't been of for 13 years but a decent new PS2 screw driver bit in a well lined up and pushed hard impact driver , bobs yer man ! Or uncle !
