Why would that threaten the programme though - surely they can use another location (I know it will affect the leader board but not any of the reviews)

Typical blinded by government b******t, NIMBY boring miserable local population is probably the issue here.............just for a change!

I would relish the chance to live near that track! (Its quite a nice area and is home to lots of motorsport outfits)

Its a shame as its actually a pretty good track. What confuses me is last-time I was there we had to stop a session so a private jet could take-off from the runway! Now THAT was loud..........

Confused!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../20/ixhome.html

Same thing from 20/02/2006

So they don't was 4 or 5 cars razzing about per week due to pollution ..

But building 2500 homes (and all the trucks etc to begin with) and then a minimum of an extra 2500 cars commuting every morning.

Are these people REALLY that retarded?

and for noise. IT WAS AN AIRFIELD !! I don't care how loud the new Ferrari is, I'll not be louder than a Tornado now will it?

Looks like tabloid journalism to me - IIRC weren't Top Gear looking for a new venue anyway?
