Here's an MX-5 leaving me behind at Donington. Admittedly, a much better driver than me, and I was backing off a bit on the straights - I figured there was no point in overtaking him, then holding him up through the corners.

It was all stripped out and so on but it looks a lot of fun.

The cheapest option is probably sitting in your driveway/garage.

The S2000 is a great track car* and suprises quite a lot of more expensive machinary.





*it's not as good as an Elise mind!

You are right I tracked my old one a few times but I fancy a project.

My brother is slowly turning his S1 elise into a track car, Jesus it can go round corners!

The parts are cheap, the engine is ace, reliable and if you want anything doing to it (suspension, ECU tuning, Hybrid engine swap) I have done it all

These things used to rule their class in the the Production Saloon Car Championships in their day, real giant killers too!
