The worst offenders on sunday were 2 city boys who both rocked up in new Q7's trailoring race specials, not sure what it was, one was a radical looking thing with BIG wing, Honda and repsol livery and the other a trick caterham of some sort. They came tanking past a few times at what I considered inappropriate places.

Then what I assume was their son turned up, in what I assume was a gift from daddy, he could not have been very far into his 18th year on this planet and brought his mate and their ho's in a pimped out 1 series coupe convertible... must have been a £30k car with all the m-sport tat on it and he looked 15.

Anyway, as you all rightly say, it's the drivers not the cars, but seems the organiser are happy to take anyone's money (understandably), but I do think their should be a shift away from mixing race cars and road cars, perhaps a gap in the market for a 'road car' track day at the main circuits. It was a shame, as I said, if I was there in the S, I would have been the slowest thing out there as probably the only one on normal road tyres.

It's something that does put me off. It's not just about the standards on track; when you turn up in the morning and realise that you're one of the very few planning to drive home in the same car, and that everything else looks so much more serious, it's a little intimidating. I remember two of the Ginetta Juniors being at Rockingham with us practicing for the BTCC event that weekend. If your race series is big enough to be on the telly, why are you doing trackdays?

I can see the point
What about the teams testing their 1400 hot hatch racers or similar? There's a lot more slow racecars out there than there are fast ones!

The only complaint I've had at a trackday (in fact, I think it was the one at Oulton that some of you guys were at), was from an 200SX driver, who said he was laughing so hard watching us come up the pit straight behind up in a full on 4 wheel drift and leaning like a ship in a gale, he forgot to brake for the first corner....

Lack of test days normally Dembo. Most race weekends are preceded by a test day on the thurs or Friday but I've noticed a few races this year where that isn't the case. You then have to look at other options and often a track day is the only way.

Ginetta Jr aren't toooo fast though.

No, didn't report as wasn't really that bad and enough marshalls around who should be if they consider it dodgy. I just don't like seeing someone come past in the braking zone, I spend most of the time on straights looking in my mirrors seeing who is where, when I am braking / turning, i want to be focussing on what I am doing, not what some tool in a trick race car is doing on my line...

I had no real cause to complain, just interesting how the demographic and car type has changed so much. I'm with Dembo here, it really does put me off taking anything out that I plan to drive home in.

If you can't beat em, guess you need to join them. I am eyeing up entering the PBMWC championship so I can be one of the annoying racers that hi-jack track days.

Marshall's don't see everything, if no-one reports it, they'll assume you moved over or waved them passed and it wasn't an issue. If no-one mentions it, how are the organisers to know to keep any eye on them?

Phil if someone comes past you under braking zone and there was no consent - absolutely report it!

I report people to the organisers if anyone pisses me off. It's the only way they get dealt with. Any decent organiser will be welcome of the feedback.

MSE did bollock a Silvia for holding us all up drifting, TBF.

I used to like their airfield days, but they only seem to be held West of Land's End these days. And it's a helluva long way if one cannot spare the time/blow up the car/are taken out by a prat.

They do them in Abingdon, which is near Oxford

[pulp fiction] About an 80 minutes away from Hertford, so in the NSX, you'd be there in 27...[/pulp fiction]
