We're getting there. At Donington we were assessing potential new racers, and we have a handful who we think will progress to race this year. Next stop is an MSA medical board to get clearance for Nat B due to various missing limbs.

Back to Silverstone today for a meeting with GT Academy, looking forward to a few days in the office to warm up now.

We're quite close to announcing our arrive & drive packages for the UK and the 'ring. Will give you a shout when we do.

MSE did bollock a Silvia for holding us all up drifting, TBF.

I used to like their airfield days, but they only seem to be held West of Land's End these days. And it's a helluva long way if one cannot spare the time/blow up the car/are taken out by a prat.
They do them in Abingdon, which is near Oxford

[pulp fiction] About an 80 minutes away from Hertford, so in the NSX, you'd be there in 27...[/pulp fiction]
There's a brewery & the former MSG plant there too.

Might give that look...

Yes but those aren't the rules, someone will see you do it and other people will think you can overtake on a corner.

If the rules state overtake on the right, only by invitation, and only on a straight I fail to see the complication.

I drive one of those fast cars (when it works!) and joe bloggs in their 1.6 hairdryer has paid the same as me. I am not better than them, they are not better than me. Yes, they are holding me up...SO WHAT! I'm not racing anyone!

Finish your corner, check you mirror, signal me past. This is not a hard thing to do and isn't a hard thing to wait for either.

As for racing drivers, that last one I encountered tried to signal me past on the wrong side, so I flat out refused. If they couldn't get that right, how the bloody hell are they going to perform in a race?!

What side did he try to overtake you on? The left?

I went to Donny many years ago and there was a very quick driver in a GT2 (iirc). He was overtaking all the way between Craner and Mclean which I thought was a bit off as he f@#ked my lines royally doing that. He didn't get black flagged cos the Marshalls liked his car. I told him he was a prick and he stopped in fairness but it shouldn't have needed me, as per Ultras view of the world

As a footballer I thoroughly enjoyed refereeing a game.

Normal corners, no, long bends there are times when it's safe and this was covered / explained in the briefing by one very good trackday organiser. So where there's clear consent and yield, it can be done. Somewhere like Spa at Blanchimont for example. Not like at the Bus Stop There are examples where this can go wrong, like on cars where the indicators are always on But pulling clearly off the line and hand signalling can be work. It's down to common sense.
