Trackday/car experience day
Last year as part of my fathers birthday we were able to try out a couple of cars on a track, we enjoyed it so much we are wanting to do the same thing this year but possibly a single seater etc with a bit more freedom i.e in the car on our own.
We dont mind if its single seater or some other car, we just want the freedom of being in the car on our own (and the quash arguments of being 'helped' out
.
Any recommendations? (Nothing up here as I'm located in the lake district).
Preferably in the north, but prepared to travel as far down as Birmingham.
Thanks

I like the idea of caterhams
spot on.
R300 I'll probably end up dead
, the k series version would be more than adequate.
Last time my dad just couldn't get to grips with shifting in the evo

I did an experience day at Oulton Park a long time ago. Audi with an instructor until you inspire them with confidence and then you get a go in a single seater.
Its not like a track day though, so depending on your experience or expectations you will either love it or be dissapointed.
Looks like is BMW M3 now at the tution car, but the day is the same.

Bookatrack would be my idea too.
About £850 a day is a lot of wonga though.
The caterhams are great fun and easy to drive. The normal superlights are fast enough if you're not used to them. And shared between 2 people it's cheaper than palmersport.
There are other car hire options for track days though. track club are one.
