Fair play to the youf in the Seat though - admitting full responsibility for his actions.

A refreshing change
To an extent, but he was still driving like a complete knobber prior to loosing control of his vehicle, yet no charges were brought against him.

Having said that, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

I wonder if the civic driver was trailing for the Olympiad?

And good to see he wasn't prosecuted.

Lesson learned.

I was also stunned at that, all the witness statements said he was overtaking on a bend and didn't see the other car coming until it was too late. To me thats dangerous driving.

Good lad for holding his hands up, least he had his head screwed on after the accident, just a shame it wasn't before.

Given the attitute of the person, his general demeanor and characteristics , a single car accdident and very little 3rd party property damage would a charge of dangerous driving have served any purpose?

I see what you mean, fair point, probably not no.

I was thinking more that he could very well have killed one or both of his passengers, more so if the girl in the back had been sitting on the other side of the car where the roof crushed in.

A charge would have been appropriate.

It isn't much of a deterrent to other road users to see a young lad drive like a cock, roll his car several times, yet walk away virtually unscathed and with a clean driving licence and no fine.
