too pricey for me....seen some for circa 16/17k.....thinking the power delivery may be a little lazy compared with the Honda though

Funny but i had a little race with one on sunday afternoon. Well quite a big race really from stop to about 130 then we went our separate ways.

There was not anything in it at all performance wise seemed like he had slighty more poke at the top and me more at thebottom as i had to let of the throttle a couple of times not to run in to his rear but then as we reached 120 i had to be at full throttle to stay close behind.

Back to topic though i know nothing about them. other than it sounded good.

4.6l V8 - the 4.0l is TVR's own straight 6.

I figure that being a Rover V8 powered car they ought to be 'reasonably' reliable....it's the lack of revs that I am not sure about...

Surpised at this. The TVR weighs around 200 kilos less has 40-50 more bhp and double the torque, and that at much lower revs.

In a recent road test one of the 4.0l TVRs was quicker than a Ferrari 360 for the same reason - same power but less weight.
