Default V-5 paperwork question

Hey guys I need your advice.

I bought a car in Uk which was registered there.

So teh UK government did sent this V-5 document to me which mentions me as the new owner.

and I want to sell it now to a different EU country

Now that I only used the car on the track for a while and never registered it in germany how would the new owner be able to register it in his country as my nam eis still on the V-5 paper as owner.

Is it sufficent to make an invoice on his name stating that I am selling the car to him or how do I get this corrected ?!

Basically the same problem if you would buy an S2k (as example) and want to sell it afterwards without having it registered for teh road on your name...

Thanks for any advice!

If you are not in the UK surely the V5 is now irrelevant?

If not, then simply let the DVLA know of the change of owner, there should be a slip on the V5 that you can send off to inform them.

I thought that you had to notify the DVLA if you exported the car from the UK, as after that the V5 was no longer needed?

DVLA was notified and the previous owner send the paper to DVLA but they send the V5 to me in germany with my name in the field "new owner"

So I need to return this to DVLA in order to get a "permanent export" paper with my name as owner ?!

The car is only exported if it's re-registered in another country, which it sounds like you haven't done that stocky.

There's a bit on the V-5 that you tear off to change ownership. If you still have that, that could be used to register it. Also, you can ring the DVLA to check who the registered owner is currently. I think it's also available on a site somewhere, but you'd have to google it.
