If you can stomach an older car i'd suggest going for the HSV brand rather than the Vauxhall.
We had one - the very one that Clarkson tried out in one of his videos actually - and from memory HSV did the GTS which was a 5.7 300bhp jobbie and the GTSR which was the supercharged version. The other half had an obsession with Bathurst and the whole Holden vs Ford racing thing they have in Aus.
It IS a lovely car - everywhere we went in our GTS we got serious looks. It's large, loud and brash. Without a doubt, the most comfortable car i've ever driven, we went to Brugges and Cologne a few times in it and arrived fresh as a daisy. Great big leather seats

With other brands making a 2nd division (Toyota-Lexus, Honda-Acura, Nissan-Infinity) why couldn't Vaux bring out another badge.
