Want this noise....
I'm amazed there's still such interest in large capacity engined cars like these given current fuel prices and their propensity to consume it in vast quantities. Yes the noise is awesome but surely the running costs are prohibitively expensive?
I'm waiting for a 3 cylinder 600cc microcar that buzzes to 18k revs and does 60 mpg. I don't care how slow it goes or how little torque it has, as long as it's fun to chuck around ...

Banksters get favourable leasing rates?
Still the blingmobiles are selling. Bit like the band playing as the ship sinks.
Nothing against mega-engines etc, but I bet they'll all be boo-hoo-hoo when the yUK's roads destroy the suspension, wheels & tyres with all that unnecessary mass.

Aside from an SLR, I don't consider any current Merc' as being anything other than ugly and completely tasteless.
Mercedes have sold their corporate soul to the demon that is the nouveau riche and gauche.
Just my opinion of course...

Mercedes are ostentatious, crap cars in my opinion. There isn't one car in their range that interests me.
got to laugh at the dick driving it. I mean who does that in a busy city centre? nob.
Otherwise sounds good, very fast and gives shitty MPG. All the characteristics of a good AMG. Can't believe how cheap some of them are now. Saw an SL 65 AMG for 17 grand with 60K on the clocks. Just had £1200 worth of rubber (I know mental hehe) and cost a cool £100K new

The noise is ok, but it's got that agricultural feel to it.
Not my cuppa tea though.
Bankers.
Drove the E63 AMG Twin Turbo at Brooklands exp. day and the thing was so fast in a straight line but boring in the corners, it just wallows and feels numb.
There is no excitement in driving the car, other than the AWESOME sound track from the rear end. Thats it.
