Default weekend - (just for the fun of it) cars.

Now that the S has flown the nest....

And as on Tuesday a piece of shit motorway munching vehicle will be joining the Chez Pode stable.

And as it is truly a piece of shit... ( fit for purpose - but God it is bloody awful beyond words ) I will need something enjoyable for the odd weekend or three throughout the year.

It will do less than 3000 miles a year and really only in good weather.

Was thinking...

1/ Caterham or Westy ( Good residuals )

2/ Dax Rush or other 7 type knock off ( Want a good one though - I'd rather pay someone to be a spanner monkey than do it myself.)

3/ Lotus Elise ( one that isn't bent )

4/ VXR220 ( as per [3] )

5/ Something else.

6/ MIBJR - No - not a fecking Renault!!! They are shite - really really shite

What would Jesus do? Or yourself?

They went south.

Decided to move house - and a substantial extra hefty mortgage will be upon me. And the associated moving costs.

I would rather hold onto other Chez Pode assets in the stock market long term rather than cash in now for the immediate future.

As the new gaff is a fair bit further from the office than now, a nasty piece of shite beater has been roped in. But it has no soul. I need something that has a bit of passion, however mileage will be 2-3000 max, as I'm spending a lot of time outside Blighty these days.

This year - I'm lucky to have spend 60 days here.

Edit - Budget £20K

Additional edit - No S2000's. I've had 3 of them. Enough is enough. Time for something else, I may come back - but there are other great cars out there.

Does it have to be fast?

What about a classic roadster type thing?
