Nope, as a weekend toy - it is weak. ( it is a bloody great all rounder - one of the best ) - but for something that is a weekend special - it ain't.

E46 M3 would do you nicely, at low miles it wont rape you on running costs either.

What about a Grinnall Scorpion if you want something for dry fun?

Or more normal 4 wheels



No need to spend £20k to be different either

From my experience so far, an E46 M3 is too much of an all rounder for a weekend car.

20k would buy all manner of Caterhams but I think they're wasted on the road.

Get something classic or lotus based.
