Default What a dilemma....!

Hi all,

Recently posted a thread about ordering a new white 350Z through my company car scheme. The car order is going through an internal process about to wing it's way over to the lease company when I spotted a new 'entrant' on our car scheme list.

Yep, the 135i M Sport has come in at the same price as the 350Z albeit with less extras than the Zed.

Now this poses a dilemma.

All reviews pitching the 135i against Zed prove the Beemer to be the better car and quite a bit faster - 0-100 in 12.5 secs!!!

I am currently getting an internal quote on the 135i to compare to what I will pay through our car scheme including extra's etc.

Does leave me in a dilemma though... I was all set to get a Zed, but I am quite interested in the mighty quick 135i..... arrgggghhhhhhh

Going to Sytner after work to try and get some discount on the extras, this might help make the decision....

The Zed is a *much* better looking car. Have you test driven the Beemer?

Not driven the Beemer, spent a lot of time in the Zed though.

Going to take a look and hopefully organise a testdrive ASAP for a definitive opinion.

I would be getting a Zed coupe so it's down to 2 seats v 4 seats, and not too bothered which I get.

Both RWD, both healthy 6 cyls, just down to style.

If style aint your thing, then I would go for the faster one!

Put it this way, which car would the chicks like!?!?

I'd fancy the 135 - big engine, wee car is not something I have done before (even if it's not that wee).

Plasticiness of Z still puts me off it as a coupe.

I don't doubt the BMW will be good to drive

BMW don't make rubbish fast models

Speed isn't everything though and the zed isn't exactly slow

Cars like the 135i just look like poor relations to their bigger brothers

The Z stands out in its own right

imho of course

Stay away, keep your sights set on the Z!!

Admitedly the initial reports on the 135i M Sport is good and according to Evo it is a cult car in the making.

But the Z in white and their fab new V6 will be a sure fire winner
