I've got a mate who's just bought a Bentley and wants to test the salesman's claim that it does 200mph. Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK, preferably Midlands, where you can do this safely and legally (i.e. not the M50!)?

He didn't say it was a Continental GT. (although no Bentley's currently do over 200mph )

 

Although a de-restricted W12 Phaeton is supposed to be able to do over 200mph. And a CGT is basically a rebodied phaeton.

 

There is at least one stretch near me which I've been able to just about vmax the S2K and Elise, but if there's any traffic it's just too hairy.

I got 149 from the S2K on it but never the magic 150.

I got a ride in a CGT at Bruntingthorpe and we barely broke 180mph.
