OK Mark to make matters even seeing as you now longer have a Lotus it would be unfair to race my S2 vs the Saab so let's keep the race on the road, but let's do it on foot and see who really is the quickest. 100m dash.

Can't blame inferior machinery or anything like that then.

Mine's for sale but I've got a feeling that it's not the model she wants. As for Loti only being driven by beautiful people I think it's best to gloss over that one.

I had a deposit on an Elise before it was known what the design would be. As soon as I saw it I cancelled. I knew I wouldn't be able to get my elderly mother-in-law over the sill without a lot of embarrassing knicker flashing, the roof was fiddly and bunches of flowers and the mid engine would not make good bedfellows - not that there is room for many anyway. Practicality won the day but Lotus wins every time in the handling stakes.
