Simply astounding.

Large? It's about right for a glow-plug type engine.

I like the German thumb-dynomometer! Real WW2 sounds from that one.

Bench Fitter is a dead skill in the modern world.
I used to run the sword factory for Wilkinson sword. Pretty much everything was made by hand or by machines that were 100 years plus years old.

You'd have been impressed with some of the work we did by hand. It was impressive, just took forever to do.

I did bench fitting as part of my apprenticeship too.

Tap and die, hand file, engineers blue, ICY triangle etc etc. Really annoying when you are 5 feet from a milling machine.
