Default Z4M

After spending much of the summer without a fun car and having not found a Boxster S that met my particular tick list after my third and last S Went for a drive in a very late Z4M (roadster) and was surprisingly impressed. It’s not a Boxster S but what a hoot!

Quite a bit older that the Boxster S’s I have been looking at but equally quite a bit less £

Any constructive comments or ownership experiences to contribute?

Apparently, if you reduce the rear toe-in & a few other tweaks, they can actually be made to handle reasonably well, instead of like helming a narrow boat.

Interesting read on piston heads a few weeks back. I like them, expect M car running costs and the e46 m3 seems to have it beat in most departments. Shame as seemed an opportunity missed... I still like them a lot... Coupe in black is very bat mobile!

They are mahoosive.

One parked next to my M3 and it looked the same size. The S looks tiny next to it.

Looks are subjective, I think they Ming like most BMs

Engine - masterpiece
Chassis - unfulfilled potential
Looks - Marmite
Running costs - Get a good one for gods sake!

I'm almost going to say they are worth the circa 14k asking price for the straight six alone, but you can also have it in the E46 M3 for around half the price......
