I didn't get a coupe because IMO there is no advantage to one, some people say the chassis is a bit stiffer s.
Initially when you first drive it hard it seems to be very understeery but as others have said if you hoon in it the handling is great and above all entertaining

I've not driven the roadster, but my coupe isn't noticeable understeery. In fact under power when you'd expect the understeer the front seems to dig in and it feels like the rears are rotating the car through the corner. Its quite an odd sensation but very effective and i guess due to the fact you're virtually sitting on top of the rear wheels.

BE AWARE!!! S2ki BUMMER
I don't know your taste in cars in terms of exterior design, but I PERSONALY recomend bying a M3 E46 than the Z4M. This has to do with the practical and the more smooth handling of the car. Propably, because the M3 has a longer chassis is more stable and less scary that the Z4M. I don'τ know, but I was quicker in the track with the M3 and I was not trying to limit the hot temperament of this little devil.
Generally the z4M coupe is fastest on track compared to the roadster or the M3, for a road car the M3 is more comfortable and less of a handfull so easier to push hard on less than perfect road conditions, coupe is a very hard ride so if you have back problems or plan on needing kidneys some time it's perhaps not the car for you
